Dear Backers,
We are planning to lock the backerkit orders on October 14th, therefore, If you haven't done so already, it is now time to finalize your backerkit surveys. Please make sure you provide a telephone number with your addresses, this will be required for shipping. Shipping and add-ons will be charged to credit cards on October 21st.
On the production side it looks like we will be able to show production quality component samples in late October, the updated rules will be made available in October as well.

Backerkit Invites Part 2 / PayPal

Dear all,
This is just a short update to let everyone know that the backerkit invites are on the way, as planned. We are monitoring the pledge manager backend and everything seems to work as planned so far!
Please make sure that you check your spam folders in order to not miss the invite, in case you have not received it by Friday the 2nd of August. If all else fails, you can sign up directly (with the email you use on Kickstarter) via direct link: https://space-invaders.backerkit.com.
Last but not least, we added PayPal as a method for payment of shipping fees and add-ons. You'll probably recall that I mentioned we don't plan on charging shipping and add-ons before sometime in October, which is still the plan, but we can defer the charge only for credit card payments! Therefore please be aware that if you chose PayPal as your payment method and finalize the order, they will collect your balance immediately.
So for backers planning to use PayPal, if you want to avoid the charge now, we suggest to hold off on finalizing your order until we let you know that it is time, or switch to credit card.

Backerkit Invites!

Hi all,
We have completed the Backerkit configuration and our setup is now being reviewed by Backerkit. This can take up to two business days. We apologize for the long wait - as I have already indicated to some of you that contacted us directly, we had plans for the add-on store for which we did not get the necessary info so far. Instead of waiting longer, we will send the backerkit surveys now and if we can resolve our logistical issues we will add further add-ons in the weeks to come. It should not be left unmentioned that none of this affects the production of the actual game.
If not for the PnP edition, sending the surveys at this point is actually a bit premature, as we will not be needing your addresses before October. We will also not charge for shipping or potential add-ons before that time.
The PnP Edition is available as a download on your backer page as soon as you receive the backerkit invite. The invites will not go out to everyone at the same time - this is normal. By Friday latest, everybody will have received their invite and also have access to the PnP files!

The rulebook files and localizations are still under development and will be for some time. A very rough ETA for those is end of August.

SPACE INVADERS - Status Update

Dear Backers, we appreciate your patience and I do sincerely apologize for the lack of communication. SPACE INVADERS is on track. Our team is working diligently on various set ups including BackerKit, which will be sending all backers their due survey - this has been taking longer than expected but should happen very soon. Please note, everything we post regarding SPACE INVADERS requires strict written approvals from our Licensor in Japan - this sometimes takes longer than expected as well and we have their full support. In parallel, the game rules / manual are being tweaked, all art assets including components are being finalized, prepared & compiled for our selected manufacturer PANDA GAMES. As we get prototypes / any visuals that we can share, we will most certainly post them as an update. We feel confident that SPACE INVADERS will not disappoint & deliver on time. Again, thank you for being patient.

Hey everyone,
The campaign is nearly over, only 12 hours to go! Thanks for being here and helping to make the game a reality. Even if the campaign is over soon, the project really just started, and we will continue to work hard to deliver great products to you before the end of the year.
Progress will continue to be reported here, on Kickstarter. Invites to Backerkit, our pledge manager, will go out in about two to three weeks. The PnP edition will be available for download at the same time. We'll continue to check the Kickstarter comments a couple of times a week, but if you have an urgent request, please reach out via [email protected] whenever needed.
